Comprehensive Performance Assessment (CPA)
- Final report
The
final report from the Audit Commission places the council towards the top
end of the 'fair' category (poor, weak, fair, good, excellent) in line with
three others in West Sussex.
This acknowledges that the council is moving in the right direction and places us in an extremely good position to continue our move forward, building on all the good work done to date, recognised by the inspectors in their report.
The areas identified in the report as being in need of improvement, together with similar comments made by other external audits/inspections over the last few months, must now form the basis of future external inspection programmes undertaken by the District Audit, the Audit Commission etc. Their main duty and responsibility will be to monitor our progress in these specific areas to ensure improvements are made.
