Privacy Statement

We do not keep a database of people who send e-mails to us, or submit information on forms, or who access the website. Your details are only held if you ask us to provide you with information in the future, they are then deleted once we have replied. We do not and will not pass or sell your details to other people except with your express consent.

Adur District Council's privacy policy only extends to cover the Adur District Council web site at www.adur.gov.uk

Any external web sites that are linked to from our site are not and cannot be covered by this policy.

Adur & Worthing Planning Online system cookie

e-Petitions cookie

INOVEM Inclusionware products only use cookies to store user session and login data. The Adobe ColdFusion framework which generates the web pages uses a set of cookies to store session data. These are CFTOKEN, CFID and JSESSIONID. They contains a unique random-number ID for each visitor (no sensitive data is stored in the cookie itself).

When people login to the site login information is stored as a cookie on their computer; again that only contains a reference to the user, not any actual data about them. All of those cookies only last until the browser window is closed, unless the user has ticked the 'remember me' option on login, in which case they remain permanently - cookies are what does the 'remembering' in that case.

  • Name of cookie: SpiderLogon
    Expires: End of session, or if asked to 'remember my details' the +30 years
    Purpose: Once you have logged on with username and password, so you don't have to do it for every Web page you request from the e-petitions service.
  • Name of cookie: SpiderRememberMeLogon
    Expires: +30 years
    Purpose: Once you have logged on with username and password, to make it easier to log in again if you choose 'Remember me'. This cookie remembers if you want to be remembered.
  • Name of cookie: SpiderUserPrefs
    Expires: 1 month
    Purpose: To remember your selections or preferences that you've already made when looking at information or using an e-petitions service.

SNAP Surveys cookie

Some of the interactive on-line surveys we publish on our website use the SNAP software.

A cookie is sometimes set in the survey which saves a small text file, called a Cookie, on a respondent’s computer so that they will be unable to complete any further copies of the questionnaire until the cookie expires, thereby preventing multiple questionnaires from the same respondent.

Occaisionally, but not very often, some of our surveys may be set up so they can be completed in several sessions (not all in one go). In this case partially complete responses are saved using cookies on the respondents computer. In this case cookies would need to be enabled to allow you to save the survey and then subsequently return at a later date or time to complete the survey on the same computer.
