Strategic Flood Risk Assessment (SFRA)
Adur District Council and Worthing Borough Council have produced a Strategic Flood Risk Assessment (SFRA) update (January 2012).
The Council is required to prepare an SFRA to support the development of the Local Development Framework (LDF). The SFRA creates a strategic framework for the consideration of flood risk when making planning decisions and has been developed with reference to the national Planning Policy Statement 25 (PPS25): development and flood risk, and additional guidance provided by the Environment Agency. It is used to demonstrate that a risk based, sequential approach to preparing development plans has been taken.
