Holocaust Memorial Day commemoration in Shoreham

On Wednesday 27 January 2010 there will be a small service taking place at the Church of St. Mary de Haura, Shoreham.

The 30 minute service inside the church will start at 12noon. After the service everyone will move outside to the memorial and the Chairman of the Council, Councillor Brenda Collard, will lay a wreath on the memorial, accompanied by approximately six pupils from Buckingham Park Primary School who will lay roses.

There will also be stones for people to lay on the memorial as a mark of respect.

The Chairman of Adur District Council and representatives from Shoreham and Lancing Royal British Legion will be present.

The service is not expected to last more than 45 minutes.
