Three events planned ...

Adur Chairman’s Christmas celebration

Adur Chairman, Brenda Collard, invites everyone to her Christmas Celebration Service of Carols and Readings on Wednesday 16 December 2009 at 6.30pm in the ancient church of St Mary de Haura in Shoreham town centre.

Carols will be sung to the backdrop of the Adur Concert Band, the St Mary de Haura Handbell Ringers, the Naked Voices and local schools choirs.

Chairman, Brenda Collard, says: “Join me for a festive sing song and enjoy mince pies and mulled wine after the service. Places are limited so get there early!”

Carols at the Kingswood Chapel, Worthing Crematorium

Come along and sing Carols in the Kingswood Chapel at Worthing Crematorium at 2.30pm on Sunday 6 December.

The traditional service taken by Geoff Whittington will tell the story of the Shepherds. Readings and traditional carols sung by Worthing Salvation Army.

Family members can put a star on the Christmas Tree in memory of a loved one.

After the service there will be free mulled wine, tea/coffee and mince pies served in the Muntham Chapel next to the Kingswood Chapel.

All welcome.

The Mayor of Worthing's Carol Service

Monday 7 December 2009 at 2.15pm in Christ Church, Grafton Road, Worthing

Giant Christmas trees will set the festive scene in Christ Church for this years’ Mayor’s carol service.

The Mayor of Worthing, Noel Atkins, will welcome everyone to the service. Representatives of the Mayor's charities will take the lead with readings and prayers. And the Davison Celebration Choir and Chamber Choir will be performing and of course there will be traditional carols as well.

The Ven. Lionel Whatley of Christ Church has kindly agreed for the collection to be in aid of the Mayor's charities: St Barnabas House Hospice; Chestnut Tree House Hospice; Queen Alexandra Hospital Home; Street Pastors & Christians Against Poverty.

Mayor, Noel Atkins, says: “All are welcome to share in this wonderful Christmas service.”
