The healthy word on the street is coming soon
Ref : 08/056 : Date : 07-07-2008
Adur District Council’s Community Wellbeing team are hosting two health fairs this month. They will be on 15th July at Boundstone Community College, and 16th July at Kings Manor School. There will be stalls promoting healthy eating and alcohol awareness and there will also be sexual health advice. The young people will have the opportunity to take part in football with representatives from the fire service, and opportunities to try dance and karate as ways of keeping fit.
On 15th Splash
FM (www.splashfm.com) will be doing a live broadcast from the health fair at
Boundstone Community College from 10am to 3pm.
Councillor David Simmons, Adur District Council cabinet member responsible for Community wellbeing says, “We live in challenging times, and anything we can do to encourage our young people to take part in activities like these and improve their health, has my vote!”
