Improvements to e-payment security
Ref : 06/epay : Date : 22-08-2006
In
line with world standards for electronic payments, Adur DC has enhanced its
e-payment facilities to use the new Card Security Code (CSC) and Address
Verification Service (AVS) facilities.
CSC means you will now have to enter the three digit code in the signature strip on the back of your credit/debit card. AVS means the card address entered is verified against the cardholders address using the numeric parts of the address (typically house number and the digits from the postcode). Fraudulent card use is not really an issue for local government websites but these facilities will further reduce the risk.
You can e-pay for all services from the website. The most popular facility is the miscellaneous on-line payment form which allows you to pay council tax, rent, general invoices and car parking excess charges.
To find out how to make e-payments (and other payments) see our payments page.
