Emergency contacts

As everyone is aware in a major emergency you should call 999 and explain your problem to the operator. If you need any further information they may be covered in the links below :

Hopefully we can help you please see the council emergency calls for out-of-hours assistance. If you are having problems in your council home the emergency repairs team should be able to assist you.

If the emergency is not covered by the links above then perhaps you need to consult our emergency planning pages. The aim of the Local Authority is to support the Emergency Services during the life saving and operational phase of any incident, and then take the lead during the return to normality.

Support Services provided by the Emergency Planning Unit could include :

  • Social Care
  • Welfare
  • Emergency Feeding
  • Transport
  • Temporary Accommodation
  • Emergency Works and Repairs
  • Information and Advice

We also have details of the government booklet on preparing for emergencies which may contain the information you want. Or you may be looking for the Adur District Council's emergency plan (on our emergencies webpage)
