Byelaws

The council has powers to make byelaws. They are rules which enable the council to regulate, administer or manage its district, property or undertaking. They are binding on all persons to whom they relate. It is normally a criminal offence to breach a provision of a byelaw.

The council has made byelaws covering the following matters :

(Correct spelling is 'byelaws' - common incorrect spellings include : by laws, bylaws, by-laws, bye laws, bye-laws).
