Street lighting and illuminated signs
West
Sussex County Council is responsible for street lighting and illuminated
signs in the district. West Sussex has a new contractor (SOLVe) looking after
its 72,000 street lights and illuminated signs.
Value service
SOLVe will be paid according to how many lights are kept working. The aim is to have at any one time at least 98% of lights in working order.

How long will the repair take?
SOLVe will be expected to repair routine lamp failures within five working days. Some damaged equipment or electricity supply problems may take longer to repair or be the responsiblity of EDF (was Seeboard) (www.edfenergy.com/edf-energy/showPage.do?name=homeenergy.til) or Southern Electric (www.southern-electric.co.uk).
