NHS Direct logoAt NHS Direct you can :

  • Call the NHS Direct telephone service at any time of the day or night where an NHS Direct nurse will listen to the symptoms you describe and advise you what to do for the best. If your problem is very serious, they will connect you to the ambulance service.
  • Get advice on common health problems from the self-help guide
  • Find out about illnesses, operations, tests and treatments
  • Find your nearest doctors, dentists, opticians and pharmacies

NHS West Sussex Primary Care Trust
(previously know as either 'West Sussex Health Authority', or 'Adur, Arun and Worthing Primary Care Trust (AAW PCT)' )

West Sussex PCT logoYou can find out about your local NHS dentists, GPs practices, opticians, pharmacies, Primary Care Groups and NHS Trusts by telephoning or visiting the website.

The West Sussex Primary Care Trust was formed following the merger of Adur, Arun & Worthing Primary Care Trust,  Western Sussex Primary Care, Trust Horsham & Chanctonbury Primary Care Trust, Crawley Primary Care Trust and Mid-Sussex Primary Care Trust.

The NHS South East Coast Strategic Health Authority is the regional headquarters of the NHS in Kent, Surrey & Sussex. It was formed following the merger of Kent and Medway Strategic Health Authority with Surrey and Sussex Strategic Health Authority.

Patient Forums

West Sussex Voluntary Organisations Liaison Group logoWest Sussex VOLG (Voluntary Organisations Liaison Group) is an umbrella network of voluntary and community groups in West Sussex all working in different ways under the very broad banner of social inclusion. VOLG started with a predominantly community care focus (health, housing and social services).

VOLG's core work is funded by West Sussex Social and Caring Services, Health and the West Sussex Learning Partnership to help them liaise with and involve the voluntary and community sectors in planning and delivering services.
