The
Disabled Badge Car Scheme (Blue Badge) provides a national arrangement of
parking concessions for people with severe walking difficulties, who travel
either as drivers or as passengers. It is admistered by West Sussex County
Council. Blue badges have replaced the orange badge disabled parking scheme.
You can find out more about the scheme and how to apply for a Blue Badge by calling (01273) 268800 or by visiting the disabled badge car scheme (Blue Badge) webpages on the WSCC website(www.westsussex.gov.uk/redirect/?oid=[com.arsdigita.cms.contenttypes.ArticleSection:{id=1767998}])
If you are a badge holder under the 'Disabled Blue Badge Scheme', you may be entitled to a parking bay. Although these bays are not limited to a specific individual's use, they can help ensure a parking space is available outside your home.
