West Sussex County Council (WSCC) Sitting Service
Caring for a child or young person with a disability is demanding and, at times, exhausting. Carers need a break from caring to recharge their batteries in all sorts of different ways. Finding someone who can take care of their child or children under these circumstances can be a major problem.
The WSCC Sitting Service provides volunteer carers for families with children with disabilities which allows parents to take a much-needed break from caring.
- More information is available on the WSCC sitting service webpage (www.westsussex.gov.uk/ccm/content/social-care-and-health/disabled-people/children-with-disabilities-or-special-needs.en?page=4)
