Viewing this Website

This new look website for Adur District Council (November 2005) has been designed for the following :

It is best viewed at a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 (or 1280x1024 if you like to have the history or favourites etc docked in your browser window as well) but will also display at any other screen resolution (800 x 600 is the suggested minimum as some of the layout may not be maintained below that point - eg where a diagramatic map appears in the main body (central column) of the page).

Ideally your screen should be set to high-colour (thousands of colours) rather than 256 colours.

It is also best viewed with a JavaScript enabled browser.

The site uses cascading style sheets (CSS) and will not display as intended if these are disabled or not supported by your browser. If you do not use CSS then the site is still navigable, but will not look as intended on screen.

This website should still run quite happily in a browser with less than this specification, but some of its features may not display / work quite as well.

You can change the size of your web browser window using one of the following :
(note : you cannot use one that is bigger than the screen resolution you have set on your computer)

  • 640x480 (VGA)
  • 800x600 (SVGA) - minimum screen resolution for the Adur DC website, but some items may not lay out correctly on screen
  • 1024x768 (XGA) - recomended screen resolution for the Adur DC website
  • 1280x1024 (SXGA) - recomended screen resolution for the Adur DC website if you like to have the history or favourites docked as well
  • 1600x1200 (UXGA)
  • Note : To restore your web browser window to ful screen use the maximise button in the top right hand corner of your web browser window

If you experience any problems in viewing this website contact the webmaster detailing what the problem is and what browser (and version) you are using.
